Foggy Bottom Association Comings & Goings

he FBA’s 51st Annual Meet­ing was a cacoph­ony of explor­ing and ini­ti­at­ing new ideas, ini­tia­tives, and express­ing thanks to our beloved for­mer offi­cers and board mem­bers who con­tinue to guide and con­tribute to our community.

FBA’s VP Lev Trubkovich has spear­headed a Neigh­bor­hood Watch in FB/WE which was unveiled at the meet­ing with com­ments by DC Police Offi­cers. Saman­tha Nolan, Coor­di­na­tor, Offi­cer Rhonda Hardy-Robinson, and Cap­tain Melvin Greshman.

Con­sis­tent with FBA’s mis­sion to raise the qual­ity of our community’s qual­ity of life, the pre­sen­ta­tion by Catholic Uni­ver­sity per­tain­ing to mak­ing people-friendly the cur­rent ‘invis­i­ble’ park grounds in our com­mu­nity and increas­ing the Georgetown/ FB access between K St NW & Vir­ginia Ave NW just above Rock Creek park­way among other ini­tia­tives. Lively dis­cus­sion fol­lowed the pre­sen­ta­tion by Iris Miller.

The elec­tion of FBA offi­cers resulted in the resound­ing relec­tion of Jill Nevius, Sec­re­tary; David Hertzfeld, Mem­ber­ship; and Exec­u­tive Board Mem­bers, Dusty Hor­witt and Lisa Far­rell (new) Pres­i­dent, Asher Cor­son also made spe­cial pre­sen­ta­tions to Bob Vogt and Jackie Lemire, for­mer FBA Offi­cers and Exec­u­tive Board Mem­bers for their lead­er­ship and ongo­ing guid­ance, sup­port and contributions.
